IKEA Donates Desk and Chair for a Work-From-Home Client

Since COVID-19 began, many workers in the state of Texas have found themselves working from home, at least in some capacity. One of our Community Services clients found herself in the same position, but was in need of some work-from-home equipment.

The client’s case manager, Rebecca, informed the development team that this client was in need of a small desk and a chair. Immediately, our Director of Development, Lauren, reached out to a contact at the IKEA in Round Rock and scheduled a delivery of these items.

“I’m a single mom of two, with low income. I’m working from home and was in need of a desk and chair and OWBC and IKEA were able to help me. I’m thankful for this program, which has helped me tremendously since I signed up. This program has helped me in so many ways. I’m comfortable with my desk and chair from IKEA while completing my work. Thank you, all!” – April Bishop

We are so very grateful to our community partners who have continuously showed support throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. We are especially thankful for loyal partners like IKEA, who continue to deliver. Thank you, IKEA of Round Rock!
