United Way of Williamson County is holding their annual Day of Caring on Friday, September 25th from 8:00AM – 12:00PM. The United Way Day of Caring brings together volunteers across Central Texas. Day of Caring is a community-wide service event that addresses critical needs through meaningful volunteer action, involving hundreds of volunteers annually.
For this year, in response to COVID-19, there will be both in-person and virtual volunteer opportunities.
OWBC has two listings this year where volunteers are needed.
One listing requires volunteer assistance to clean out a storage shed at our Bagdad Activity Center in Leander (351 N. Bagdad Road, Leander, TX, 78641).
The second listing is for an elderly Meals on Wheels client who needs new steps and a ramp built in Leander (101 Orchard Cove, Leander, TX).
