This year, OWBC joined millions around the world participating in the global generosity movement called “Giving Tuesday.”
On Tuesday, November 30th, our agency outreached recurring donors, prospective new donors, board members, and community members to celebrate Giving Tuesday. From sharing on social media to giving monetary donations, our community came together to help us meet our $5,000 goal.
In total, we raised over $5,676 for our Giving Tuesday campaign.
These funds will be added into the Year-End Giving campaign, through which we hope to raise $25,000 by December 31, 2021. All funds raised are unrestricted funds, meaning our agency can use them where they’re needed most!
Why We Give:
We would like to express a sincere “thank you” to all those who participated, through donations or simply spreading the word. With over $5,600 raised, we can provide 700 meals to seniors in need, purchase outdoor playground equipment for some of our Head Start Centers, or even gift over 100 gift cards worth $50 to Community Services families transitioning out of poverty.
