“Sip & Shop” Raised $32,000 for Meals on Wheels

Opportunities for Williamson & Burnet Counties’ (OWBC) fourth annual “Sip & Shop” fundraiser was Saturday, April 23rd at the Lakeside Pavilion in Marble Falls. Previously known as the “Style Show,” this fundraiser was held in both Sun City and Marble Falls. This year, OWBC rebranded the event and hosted it only in Marble Falls. This allowed the non-profit to launch a larger scale fundraiser and engage new donors and community partners in Burnet County.

All funds from Sip & Shop benefited OWBC’s Meals on Wheels program, which serves 1,600+ seniors annually.

At Sip & Shop

At the event, attendees received a light luncheon with complimentary wine and enjoyed a one-of-a-kind fashion show experience. After the fashion show, attendees took advantage of pop-up boutique shopping, wine and beer sampling, the auctions and raffles, photo booth activities, and a live performance by Harmless Heart. To make this fundraiser a community-centered event, OWBC collaborated closely with the WHO Ladies of Sun City, who modeled multiple looks from Salem’s Fashions, Ciao Bella, The Blue Door Gift Store & Boutique, XLR8 & Co, and Two Black Cadillacs.

At the event, attendees shopped and supported local vendors, including Smalltown Trendy Boutique, Kendra Scott (Lamar location), Gypsy Jaybird, The Oil Tap, Usborne Books & More, Paty’s Pieces, and Ciao Bella. Wedding Oak Winery, Fiesta Winery, and Save the World Brewery also served by the glass or gave out free samples.

In addition, more than 20 items were raffled off, including skincare products from Westlake Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery and a stunning bracelet from Georgetown Jewelry.

For dessert, local bakeries donated cakes, pies, and other assorted sweet treats for OWBC to auction off, including pie from the Bluebonnet Café and carrot cake from 18 Carrot Bakery.

Special thanks to the Highland Lakes Service League for serving lunch.

Overall, the Sip & Shop fundraiser raised over $32,000 for Meals on Wheels of Williamson and Burnet Counties. With this funding, we can deliver over 4,500 meals to seniors to fight food insecurity and hunger in our own community.
