The Community Services program offers the following services:

  • Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP)
  • COVID-19 Emergency Assistance
  • Self-Sufficiency/Case Management Program

This application will allow you to apply to the program or programs you need. However, there are documents that we need from you to complete to get started that you MUST complete before proceeding. For the program of your choice, please view the checklist below and complete all required fillable PDFs. You can save these on your computer and will need to upload them into the online FASTRACK application.

Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) – Checklist

CEAP provides assistance with energy costs for low-income residents. This program could aid with multiple months, as determined by qualifications. Applicants will be notified of assistance provided for the year.

Required documentation for a complete application include:

  • ID (current government issued driver’s license, current government issued ID card, or current U.S. passport for each household member / 17 and under must also show proof of ID.)
  • U.S. Citizenship/Legal Residence (current U.S. passport OR a current U.S. birth certificate WITH a current government issued photo ID/driver’s license for each household member / 17 and under must also show proof of Citizenship) CLICK HERE FOR DOCUMENT
  • 30-Day Income History (ALL proof of income for the last 30 days for ALL household members 18 and over. This includes any income into the household from the signed date. Falsification or omission is cause for disqualification. Household income required for the previous
    30 days from date of signed application.)
    • Social Security/Disability Income/VA Verification letters or tri-folds showing benefits for 2019 and issue date under one year
    • Employment check stubs
    • TANF letter showing current benefits
    • SNAP letter – all pages
    • Proof of Child Support
    • Current Unemployment Benefits letter
    • Current letter from employer with contact information to verify
    • Any other continuous sources of income such as rental income, self-employment, etc.
  • Declaration of Income – ONLY for applicants or adult household members without income or those who cannot provide acceptable forms of income. CLICK HERE FOR DOCUMENT

  • Vendor Release (ONLY complete this form if your energy provider is ATMOS, RELIANT, or AUSTIN ENERGY. The authorized Account Holder must complete and sign the authorizations pages for their energy vendor.)
  • Current Bill with Balance (Energy source(s) such as Electric and Gas)

COVID-19 Emergency Assistance – Checklist

Due to COVID-19, some Williamson County and Burnet County residents may have lost employment or been negatively impacted by COVID-19. This COVID-19 Emergency Assistance will help those eligible with emergency funding, such as emergency food, rental assistance, prescriptions, gas, etc.

Required documentation for a complete application include:

  • ID (current government issued driver’s license, current government issued ID card, or current U.S. passport for applicant only. Click here to view an example of accepted ID.)
  • 30-Day Income History (ALL proof of income for the last 30 days for ALL household members 18 and over. This includes any income into the household from the signed date. Falsification or omission is cause for disqualification. Household income required for the previous

Self-Sufficiency/Case Management Program – Checklist

The self-sufficiency program provides coaching assistance and case management for those who qualify. Eligible individuals can receive assistance with education and job skills, in order to increase wages from employment. Low income families or individuals will receive guidance and long-term family support in order to reach their ultimate goals in becoming self-sufficient.
