Our Community Services program is what makes OWBC a Community Action Agency. The programs and services provided by the Community Services department help transition low-income community members out of poverty through financial assistance, education, and coaching.

Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program+

At this time, funding is not available for the Energy Assistance Program. WATER ASSISTANCE IS STILL AVAILABLE. If you have any questions, please call our office 512-255-2202.

If you would like to be placed on a waitlist for any additional funding that might come available in 2022, continue to fill out the application.

Our Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) provides financial assistance for qualifying households who need help covering their energy bills (electricity, gas, and propane).

Water Assistance – Availability Limited+

Water assistance is limited to clients served by the following cities: Burnet, Marble Falls, Hutto, Bartlett, Georgetown, Taylor, Leander, Liberty Hill and customers of Durham Park and Corix Utilities.

EDUCATION & COACHING

Self-Sufficiency Program (Community Services Block Grant/CSBG)+

Our Self-Sufficiency Program administers case management services to households that are looking to transition out of poverty.

Services: Education/Back to Work, Coaching, Supporting, and Advocating
